J. Alan Weber is a founding partner of MARC-IV, a consulting company that fosters the development of biofuel and biobased innovations, and also is a consultant with the University of Missouri Center for Regenerative Agriculture. In that role, he focuses on carbon market opportunities for farmers through the Missouri CRCL (Climate Resilient Crop & Livestock) Project. Alan is a nationally-known economist with extensive experience in the soybean industry and soil health strategies. He also is a producer himself, farming almost 900 acres with his family in Central Missouri and using climate-smart ag practices such as no-till and cover crops. Alan has an M.S. degree in Agriculture Economics from the University of Missouri.
