Jon Ihler was appointed as president and chief executive officer by the MFA Oil Company Board of Directors on July 31, 2019. Ihler is the fifth CEO in the cooperative’s 90-year history.

He joined MFA Oil in 2001, working in retail automotive management before moving to Colorado, where he owned and operated his own franchised automotive business. He returned to MFA Oil in 2006, serving as business development manager, director of sales and marketing, and vice president of sales and marketing before being named CEO.

Ihler serves on the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees for the CAFNR Foundation, the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives Board of Directors, and is an Advisory Director for the Bank of Missouri. He is a former member of the Missouri Community Betterment Board of Directors.

Ihler is a Columbia, Mo., native and a graduate of the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics.
