Wayne and his wife, Karen, reside on their family stock farm near West Plains in south-central Missouri. Wayne was elected to the MFA Incorporated Board of Directors in 2011 and has served on its legislative, audit, and scholarship committees. In 2018, he became chairman of the board for MFA Incorporated. As chairman, he leads the executive committee and serves on the board’s strategy committee.
Before returning to full-time farming, Wayne built a 35-year career with Farm Credit in both Missouri and Arkansas. He spent more than 19 of those years as President/CEO of Farm Credit Midsouth in Jonesboro, AR. During that time, he also served as President of the Arkansas Committee of State Cooperatives.
Since moving to the farm, Wayne has served as president of the South Central Cattlemen’s Association, been a regional officer for the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association and received the 2011 top hand award.
